Workin’ Girl

After being so sick that I couldn’t eat for 4 days, I’m feeling a little lighter. I was at the point that I was completely ok with my curvier figure and recently went ahead and purchased some clothes in a larger size.

However, feeling lighter has given me the motivation I’ve been waiting for to get moving. Here’s Lisa (who’s a personal trainer) trying to help me strengthen my back, since it gives me great grief when exercising.

I know you want another one! Here goes. Disclaimer: No children or animals were actually hurt during this video. 😉

To help keep me moving, my man bought me a treadmill. Yeah! I hated having to put it in my bedroom but I couldn’t bear to ask him to haul it upstairs. So much for my “bedroom retreat”. Sorry Oprah!

Where do you keep your treadmill?

  1. I’m lucky to have space in my basement for the treadmill…it’s much easier to to haul one down the stairs than up them!

    Yay for you!

  2. I have a suggestion for your back.

I was having major back problems (and knee and hip) and my doctor told me that my hamstrings are probably too tight, which can lead to lower back problems. I’ve been stretching and doing yoga and I haven’t really had a problem since!

  3. Okay, I totally loved your exercise video! I have actually flown off my ball a number of times, so I was very impressed that you could stay on it! ☺

    No treadmill, sniff, sniff.

  4. Good job Laurie! I see that Lisa is keeping you busy working out!!!Way to go girl! I’ve been debating for quite some time if I should buy a treadmill or keep my membership to the gym that I never go to! What do you think??? Do you really use it at home???

  5. I have a treadmill in the basement and my personal trainer comes once a week to do strength training/torture. My kids are not allowed in the room (and you so beautifully demonstrated why). I have never thought to film myself for the blog though. Excellent exercising!

  6. Curvy figure?!?!?!!?

    I think not.

GREAT video though. You are such a riot. And so patient. I think I would have steam rolled my little one.

  7. You really need to go see a chiropractor, but way to go on trying to do something about it.

I don’t really laugh that obnoxiously do I??

  8. I have mine in my basement, which isn’t an option for you Texans, is it? I also keep one (a very neglected one) at the gym.
And I did talk to Martha about the dinner thing in May. I told her I’d go with her, so sounds like I’ll be there! Now I just need to step up my blogging again.

  9. I’m with Katrina – I keep it at the gym. I can’t beleive you said fart on your blog. I’m still laughing.

  10. At the gym. A treadmill soon becomes a place to hang clothing when it’s in our home!
    Love your videos!!!
(You should try reformer pilates. Strengthen your core and your back wont have to work so hard.)

  11. you are hilarious! the video was soo funny! i have my treadmill home too and yesterday i was on it and luke just kept wanting to exercise with me. literally impossible with these kidos. i love my exercise ball too. you gave me a great laugh. i am soo glad to see others are having a fun trying to exercise with little ones running around. life sometimes isn’t that easy! keep going!
    di

  12. Mine is downstairs. If I had room in my bedroom I would move it there. I’d definitely use it more! I’m at 2 days a week on the treadmill and at least one day of yoga at the gym. which is horrible – before winter hit me with a vengeance I was at 5 days at the gym! I’ll be motivated again soon – I’m sure!
