Yes. I am tired.

{{Now stop looking at me like that! I don’t need your pity! I love them dearly and am happy I have them! You should be happy for me too, dammit! I’m tired of answering the same questions! Find something more original to say to me!}}

Geeze! I need to have a shirt made.

  1. I LOVE that three of the mentioned were from a PARTY store. Shouldn’t they know you by name by now?!?!?!

Really, I am sorry, but seriously, you make me giggle!

  2. Oh, Laurie, this made me laugh so hard this morning. Yes, I agree. You should have a shirt made. Or come up with a great retort like, “Oh, we had a couple of girls, but we drowned them.” We used to tell people that we didn’t have children after 5 years of marriage (even though we were trying) that we didn’t have kids because we were saving for a boat. That generally shut them up:-).

  3. I have four boys, I feel your pain from the lame continuous comments from others. I also know of your joy! My boys are amazing, and I love having alllllll boys. You’re such a cute all boy mom!

  4. Yeah someone who can relate. I have three boys as well and I get asked these same questions all the time. 🙂
    Blessings,
    Linda

  5. My all-time “favorite” is: “Are they ALL yours?” LOL! What in the world is going to happen when I have this baby? I totally hear ya, Laurie, except I was wanting a boy, darnit! 🙂

  6. Oh you should try walking in the store with 5 kids and 4 of them are GIRLS.

It took me 4 girls to finally give up trying for another boy.

  7. When I had one child I got adoring looks and sweet questions.

When I had two children I got more adoring looks and sweet questions.

When I had three children EVERYWHERE I went, people said, “Wow…you’re busy!” Dur.

When I had four kids people just looked at me like, “you’re crazy lady”!

  8. We have five girls in our family and no boys so my parents got the same questions only opposite and they hated it as well.

  9. Oh Laurie – and they are three adorable and very lucky boys to have you for a mom to celebrate them every day!! 🙂 You are an inspiration to moms everywhere….
and I have to tell you that my BFF has 3 boys as well – and hears the same thing all the time!
I don’t get it?!!? Boys are awesome!
Your post made me smile ~ as they so often do…

  10. Love your blogs and website. Wow, your one busy lady. Your really motivating me here. How do you schedual your online time so it doesn’t mesh with life responcibilites? Gonna go grab your Tip Junkie link and throw it on one of my blogs:) Hope you can make time to stop by and say hello. Your a real inspriation. Keep up the good work.

  11. By my 4th boy, I quit hoping for a girl, by the 5th, I didin’t want a girl. When my sixth ended up being a girl, I was SO shocked. I was mad at the “you finally got your girl” comments, as if the boys were not quite good enough. I also REALLY wanted a T-shirt, but I had SO much I wanted to say, it would make the people reading it stare a little too long for my comfort at my chest. Then after my girl, I had another boy.

  12. I have three too – 2 boys and a girl, and I get so sick of the question, “So, you were trying for a girl, huh?” Gimmee a break people.

I would have been fine with all boys and infact, I really didn’t believe the ultrasound.

And yes, there are three of them . . .deal with it! I want to shout this from the rooftops, it’s not like I have a whole TRIBE or anything!

    Anyway, I can relate. 🙂

  13. I have 3 brother, husband has 5 brothers, I have 2 boys…scared to death to try for #3…I’m sure it will be a boy. I’m sure that I want a girl as badly as you did. I get the same thing…oh, when are you going to try for a girl? etc….

  14. So funny! I have 4 girls and I get the same questions in reverse.
Love reading your blog…you make me smile!
