What’s in Your Wallet?

Lisa came up again this week! She wanted me to upload the entire New Layer’s Fall line into Executive Homemaker, make her some hangar tags, and update her blog with a slide show and footer. We got it all done in 2 days. To butter me up and free up my schedule, she drove up and spent a couple days with me. Yeah for me!

She came bearing gifts which, hello, is fabulous! I’m defiantly going to put this Mrs. Clause apron to good use, but not in the kitchen, if you know what I mean. (he he)

I know that I have bad luck, but Lisa’s just may be worse. Once again her timing sucks and she came up to see me on Return Day! Do you have return day? I hate to run errands with my toddler, so I stock up on things I need to take back and do it all in one day. It pretty much sucks but it’s only once a month.

Since Drake was over at a friends house for a play date, I decided to make this return day an “Adult return day” and I went through all my wallets and found all the gift cards I have so we could have some fun. I’ll have to do an entire post on my beef with gift cards, but for now let’s just say that I have a lot.

Lisa already posted about our Return day and wouldn’t you know, I got “Blog Bitten!” She’s always getting me into trouble. It’s my turn for the “Ass Award”.

Here’s me in QT using the gift card that Rochelle gave me about a year ago. Lisa totally sold me out. 😉 Rochelle saw it and remembered that she gave me that card. (oops) Sorry, RO! I love you but unbuckling my crazy toddler to go in and a get a drink (as amazing as they are) and then roping him back into his seat has been too much. However, Lisa and I loved it and we had such a fun time! So thanks again!

Lisa left yesterday after a fun lunch with Julie. Now I’m running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off, trying to clean my house before my MIL and FIL come today at 3:00 for the weekend!
Have you been blog bitten?

  1. ha! love the ass award! and bummer you got caught! i personally love QT, but I’m with ya it is so not worth unbuckling the baby to go in a get a drink! i have done it exactly one time EVER! i’d drive 5 miles out of my way and pay a dollar more to hit the drive through! but great gift anyway Rochelle! mine would be used when i was alone on one of my nights out. or with the whole family when only one if us runs in for the beverages!

since you posted last time about return day i have been saving mine up, in a return bag so they are all together in one spot! poor l;isa for hitting you twice on return day but i am inspired by your idea! thanks for that great tip! and you are the nicest sister to help her with all of her layers stuff! way to go on all of it! it all looks great!

  2. juat have to say a big YES to return day! the real question is does anyone brave returns with their toddlers?

  3. Congrats for your Return Day! I totally dread that kind of stuff–smart idea to stock up and hit it all at once.

I’m baaaad with gift cards too! They are neat in theory (and I give them from time to time), but I always forget to use them or realize I left them at home. Blah!

Have a great weekend with your family.

  4. Oh yeah, my sis blog scoops me all the time. It’s a race to post first. Puts a little competitive edge in the blog world.

  5. I very, very rarely return things, so I don’t have a return day. Maybe I need to go shopping more.

Now grocery shopping with kids = no fun.

  6. I really don’t return much. But if i do, I will have to take you. It looks like you all had a fun time 🙂

  7. OH MY STARS!!!!!!! I’m dying over your witch switch package! SO CUTE and SO fun!!! I can’t believe all the time and effort you must have put into this darling advent calendar- we love it! I had seen the PB calendar on another blog and was quite envious of it!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
