Mother of Boys

What a Week!

So my boys finally found out about Webkinz. Katri not only has an influence on me, her daugther has one on my kids. ;-} They love it and it was such a bonding moment for us when we went to buy them.

I hosted movie night on Wednesday and I finally watched “Gone with the Wind”. I know there are some seriously devoted fans out there, so don’t mind me. It’s probably one of those movies that’s better seen when you’re young and you don’t understand the plot. In my opinin, Clark Gabel was way too old for the part and it kinda creeped me out. Was it typical for so many people to die from falling of a horse at that time!?! However, so you don’t completely blacklist my blog, I did think that for a movie made in the ’30s, it’s very well made, well acted, and the visual effects were impressive. I did enjoy the action sequences. ;-}

Just so you know how ill-bread I am. I had lunch with Julie on Thursday and then I went and saw Live Free or Die Hard. I thought it was great. It had a good mix of action and humor. Gotta love a good action flick.

Drake fell asleep at dinner today. This is how he looks and how I feel!

Surfs Up!

I’ve been planning this picture since I bought these swim trunks back in April. Yeah!

I just had this done at Sears b/c it’s easy. The photographer was very fast. She went from one pose to the next quickly and had a lot of energy. I do wish she had waited for Drake (baby) to smile a little better but it worked and we were done in 10 minutes w/o any crying from the boys or from me. ;-}

This is Lisa’s (my sister’s) favorite picture!

Slip and Slide ‘n Away

The pool’s closed and it’s 90 something degrees so, out comes the slip ‘n slide! The boys had so much fun and Drake (15 months) couldn’t get enough.

Davis’ turn! I think it’s so funny that Drake won’t eat bread, crackers, banana’s, apple juice, etc – but he’ll eat mulch, gravel, and drink from the slip ‘n slide. Hmmm?

The boys have resorted to playing UNDER the trampoline! Yes, Drake’s in his birthday suit. He got so wet and his diaper swelled up it was easier to just stripped him down.

Please Feed Me

My honey is so funny! I woke up with this posted on my refrigerator. (Notice the picture – poor sad Toby.) We’ve been having an ongoing debate about who’s job it is to feed the dog. I think it’s his since I’m in charge of feeding everyone else. Davis can do it but then again, I think it’s Jason’s job to teach him.
Jason made me laugh once again when a HUGE box arrived today from Petsmart. Wal-mart has been out of the Dingo bones that Toby likes and so Jason ordered the bones online. The boys were so excited to get a package until I announced that it’s for the dog. LOL!

Graduation Celebration

For the boys “graduation” present this year I took them to the Build-a-Bear Workshop. They are still really into stuffed animals so it was a perfect present for them! Fungus (Dylan’s dog) and Nay Nay (Davis’ horse) are the two lastest additions to the family. I think this has been the best end of year gift I’ve given them to date.
